YES to your review of Fair Play! Part of me was like "this is just the book I need" and part of me was like "mmm... this ain't it." I've had a post about my experience with it (we got the cards, too!) in my head for a while!

Haven't heard of those children's books but they look wonderful and I'll be looking them up just as soon as I post this comment.

Love the structure of this series, by the way.

Thank you Amber! I would love to hear your full thoughts on Fair Play if you ever have time to write them up! I just really felt underwhelmed by the book, it wasn’t the game changer I was expecting, and I realised I’m moving towards a different understanding of the work of the home than the author of Fair Play.

Oh the Alfie books are a UK classic! The author also illustrated some books called My Naughty Little Sister - they were another childhood favourite of mine.

Thanks so much for the mention:) Loved your Elderflower Presse recipe! I'll be visiting my mother in Switzerland soon who has a huge Elderflower bush in her garden. She usually makes jam from the berries but it would be delightful to try and make this drink....

You’re welcome! I loved the reminder to create “three dimensional” memories not just digital ones. Have a wonderful time in Switzerland, my paternal grandmother is Swiss and I have such fond memories of visiting Zurich as a child and young adult.
